You Are Never Alone (“You Never Let Go” worship video)
It’s painful to feel alone — to feel like no one cares, no one notices, no one is there to help you.
But God promises that those who trust Christ are not just forgiven for all their sins; from that point on they will never be alone.
God is always with them — holding them.
He Holds You
You can see that in Isaiah 41:13 —
For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13
He’s right there, holding your right hand —
- holding you up so you don’t stumble,
- supporting you when you are weak,
- helping when when the path is difficult,
- guiding you when the way seems unclear.
But not only does He hold your right hand —
He Never Lets Go
Not ever. You can see that in Psalm 73:23, where Asaph is talking to God —
Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand.
Notice that word “continually.” Asaph knew that he was always with God — that God was always holding his right hand.
And look at what David says to God in Psalm 139:9-10 —
If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
So no matter where David goes on the earth, he knows that God’s right hand will still be holding him.
“You Never Let Go”
Matt Redman wrote a powerful worship song which celebrates the truth that God is always holding us and never, ever lets go.
