Last week, I read Psalm 34, and it struck me how many promises were in this chapter. So I made a list of all of the promises in Psalm 34. I pray that these promises would strengthen you today.

Note: I put smiley faces next to my favorite promises in this chapter.

Promises in Psalm 34

1. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. (verse 5)
2. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. (verse 7)
3. ...those who fear him have no lack. (verse 9)
4. ...those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (verse 10)
5. The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry. (verse 15) 😀
6. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. (verse 16)
7. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. (verse 17) 😀
8. The lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed spirit. (verse 18) 😀
9. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all. (verse 19) 😀
10. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. (verse 21)
11. The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. (verse 22) 😀

Trust in God. He will deliver on every one of His promises.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the holy Spirit you may abound in hope. -Romans 15:13

This is so helpful -- thanks for sharing it!

The ones I'm finding most helpful to me right this moment are from vv.9-10 -- that those who fear him have no lack, and that those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Those promises are particularly timely for me tonight.

I hope many others read your encouraging contribution!

Steve
