Worship Lyrics We’ll Sing In Heaven (“Agnus Dei” worship video)
Worship In Heaven 
Our greatest joy is worshiping God — seeing, feeling, and expressing the beauty of his glory as revealed in Jesus Christ.
And heaven will be a place of ever-increasing joy, because it will be filled with worship.
But we don’t need to wait until heaven. We can have tastes of that joy now, because while on earth we can sing the same lyrics we’ll be enjoying in heaven.
Lyrics We’ll Sing In Heaven
Michael W. Smith’s song “Agnus Dei” is based on lyrics that the book of Revelation says will be sung in heaven.
First there’s the line “Hallelujah! For the Lord God Almighty reigns.” That’s from Revelation 19:6 —
Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.”
The word “hallelujah” is Hebrew word which means “praise Yah” (“Yah” is short for “Yahweh,” one of the Old Testament names for God).
So with this line we are praising God for his sovereign reign over everything (including that worrisome problem).
Next comes “Holy, Holy, are You Lord God Almighty.” That’s from Revelation 4:8 —
And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”
For God to be holy means that his perfections set him infinitely above everything else that exists.
So with this line we are praising God for all his perfections, especially his infinite power.
Then the song ends with “Worthy is the Lamb,” from Revelation 5:11-12 —
Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!”
Jesus Christ is the Lamb who was slain for our sins (Revelation 5:6). Picture it — the infinite God who humbled himself to become a man so he could be slaughtered like the Old Testament sacrificial lamb.
This picture of Jesus as the Lamb that was slain will so display God’s glory that all heaven will shout “Worthy is the Lamb!”
