Pie in the sky

Many people think Christianity is just pie-in-the-sky-bye-and-bye.

They think it’s only about heaven in the future — and not about anything here and now.

But that’s not what the Bible says.

The inheritance

God promises that those who trust Christ will receive an inheritance in heaven.

But He also says the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of that inheritance (Eph 1:13-14).  He says that, by the Spirit, we can taste that inheritance now — so we can know by experience that it’s real and that it’s all-satisfying.
